Playing house

Being a parent is more than I ever imagined. In many ways it is harder, and is so many other ways it is much more rewarding. Yes I sometimes don't have a spotless house, but I get to play, and watch the kids expand their knowledge and I get to laugh and love on a deeper level than I have ever experienced before.
Children know no bounds when it comes to love, at times they might be feisty or stubborn; but the love that they show is unconditional. Even after leaving my baby to cry himself to sleep at nap time or night time, he still cuddles me.
One evening I had a sweet experience with my two year old I took her into Bed changed her and tucked her in I said "I love you, you are a good girl." And she said back, "I love you too." Then as I was leaving again she said, "I love you so much." It's in the moments.
When I was in high school I remember playing with. My little brothers and sisters, or other toddlers and not understanding a word they said! I was constantly asking my mom what did they say? And she would know exactly what it was. Now being a stay at home mom I am learning to love it, and I now get to decode the kids sweet conversations, although I still at times struggle it is so neat to be able to hear their thoughts and the wonderful things they know.
My little boy has started to walk! I knew once he started he would love it, and he does he stands whenever possible; today while eating lunch in the park he had to walk back and forth between daddy and I and stand almost the entire time that we ate lunch.
I am so greatful for summer! We love to be outside!! Almost all day every day we are out playing riding bikes, weeding the garden, playing at the park, or splashing in the blow up pool in the back yard. The kids are getting so tanned! They are starting to play really well together, little brother loves to be close to his big sister, he likes to know that she approves of what he is doing, it is cute to watch them play with cars or fight over the same doll, sometimes it's fun just to sit back and watch them learn to get along.
I'm just trying to get into this blogging this again, so I have to re-teach myself how to do everything haha. I will get it! So for today I only have one picture and its from a couple months ago...
The kiddos love to play, it's hard to catch the smiles sometimes because they are so busy, but I sure love them!!

Updates

Happy February! Crazy how fasts time flies. Lilly is growing up so fast it seems, she is walking and almost talking, she has such a little personality. We bought a house this last year and moved in, so exciting, I love being in my own house, it is so nice.

Sometimes I miss the social life that I used to have especially living at college avenue, but not going to lie, I pretty much love my house more.

In January Lilly and I went and spent a week with grandma and grandpa Wilson, it was fun Lilly and duke had so much fun together.

For Christmas we got Lilly some mega blocks, she is so cute playing with them, most of the time she just want to take them out of the box and put the back into the box, occasionally she will try to build something, but she is really good at picking up her toys!

I am really excited for it to be warm outside, this cold weather blows... Lilly loves to go outside, when I go out and shovel the sidewalks she loves to some with, she likes to walk up and down the driveway and sidewalk making a circle, I think that it is hard for her to move in her coat though, because sometimes she falls and then can't get up, it is kind of funny because when she falls she doesn't put her hands out to catch herself, she just falls straight onto her head! I feel so bad every time she does... Silly Lilly.

So I am blogging from my iPad and haven't figures out how to put pictures on yet, but when I do I will post some!

Winter Walks

As much as I SO badly want it to be spring/summer, simply just warmer, it isn't and as bad as I  want to go out for walks and play outside with my sweet Baby, it makes it slightly difficult when it is so cold outside.
Bonus: I love breastfeeding because it helps me burn an extra 400 calories/day and have a better summer swim suit body!
Still I want to go outside and PLAY!
I went for a walk with baby and I am certain that she may have enjoyed the new sights... if she could have seen them, she was bundled up so well and although I wanted her to be able to see all the NEW and EXCITING things, I had to cover her up because of the bitter cold Idaho wind.
I don't remember Wind being so cold at home... I miss it the snow would suddenly disappear and it would almost feel like spring with how warm the wind is. although your hair always had a slightly windblown look to it...
oh well, Spring is around the corner, all the more reason to get my spring cleaning done now so that I can play when it comes!

Blooming baby

The weather is starting to get warmer and it is so nice! it makes me want to go out and play in the sun and enjoy it with Lilly! I am excited for when it will be really nice out so we can go for walks and play outside!  My flowers are starting to bloom as well! it makes me happy and excited for when everything else turns colors!

Tonight we gave Lilly her fist food! it was some rice pudding with yams, she ate so fast! and was so upset when i wasn't feeding her fast enough! she was so cute with the food all over her face and eating so quickly.

I love how she is getting so animated, smiling so much and laughing! she loves smiling and playing and laughing. every time I walk into the room she just puts on the biggest smile and brightens my day.

as valenines aproaches I have decorated once again! I think that I onl like to blog when I do something super cute and crafty and then I rmember that I have a blog and want to share it with the world! plus learning to balance things can sometimes be difficult. learn every day!

So for Valentines day I daw a whole bunch of really cute garlands mode of hearts and I thought they were all so so cute! so I decided to try it out myself! I took some fabric that I aquired, (thank you grandma Marilyn) and cut it into several hearts. simply ironing wan't enough to make them stay flat and stiff, i didnt have any starch so I dipped them into a mixture of water and corn starch, let them dry, (or because I was a bit impatient I microwaved them) and then irond them. I sewed the hearts all together and Wala! my heart garland!

I put it together with some other various v-day decor and now my entry way is happy and full of Love!

SO I was on Facebook when I saw this post from a friend who regularly post's on her blog and I enjoy reading it oh so much...

"New Post on the BLOG. If you don't have a blog, start one. I need more to read and they are so fun."

So yes I have a blog, but unfortunately I am terrible at posting on it...

I got a new calling today in church, one that I have had before, but helps me with my musical talents. somewhat nerve racking and gives you very much power... any guesses? yup that's right Ward Organist. and you are thinking HOW does being the Ward Organist give you 'very much power?' Well, if the Ward Organist isn't at church, people would end up singing off tune or other such terribly awful things would happen, if the organist doesn't play loud enough everyone sings like mice or no one sings...
have you ever noticed some of these things? Take notice, it will make you appreciate your organist so much more!

5 weeks and 2 days! until our little baby girl comes and blesses our home! if she comes on time that is... I've decided I should just start doing jumping jacks early to get baby to come :)  but not too early, she does need to bake a little bit longer... But I just want her to Be here already! I'm at the point where it is hard to sleep because I can't get comfortable, my hips are taking a toll and some days I waddle really bad... I am getting just really excited to not be pregnant and just have a little bundle in my arms.

getting ready for fall, I decorated on top of my mailboxes downstairs and I even made a cute holiday sign! I am glad that thanksgiving comes after Halloween here in America because then I don't have to worry about changing my decor till after the Baby comes.

The first weekend in September my oldest sister Jana got married! So i went home and helped mom make favors and get ready for the wedding, it turned out very nice and we are excited for Shane and Jana.
Last weekend I went to Logan and Grandma Marilyn and I canned peaches and made Jam! I brought 30 quarts of peaches and 8 pints of jam home. I love peaches and canning season!
So there is a little update, so you have more blogs to read ;) I will try to be better but I am not making any promises... but until the baby comes I will for sure try to post a bit.

Recently

As Jace is doing homework and written a personal biography I am thinking, hey I do that! i write on my blog! but then I remembered that oh wait... I haven't written in over a month! so here is a small update on our lives here in Rexburg.

Jace is enjoying his job over at Beehive as the executive project manager, (pretty nice title 'executive' and all :). He is working on a bunch of different things for the company, most recently he is working on their upcoming picnic for the end of June! I guess they have this really big picnic  every year with food and lots of fun games, they even have this thing they call a fish scramble where they throw about 150 fish into a handmade pond basically, and then let kids try to catch them and win prizes! Jace has also got into the routine of going and working out every day! his muscles are constantly sore, but he always says he feels refreshed after going to the gym. (he also seems less stressed, which is wonderful.) He has decided he wants to loose those few extra pounds he has put on since we have been married and tone up. I go to the gym with him sometimes, but it is hard for me sometimes because I know I am not going to get any skinnier till after I have this baby... but is is nice and refreshing, sometimes I even go swimming, but I am starting to discover that my clothes don't fit as nicely as they used to and I might need to get a few new items before too long! I am still working at Pizza Pie Cafe, and I also decided to take a leap and become a beauty consultant for Mary Kay! So if you are wanting a free facial or some really great products just let me know!

The Baby, you will be happy to know is growing and is about the size of a large Banana 7in, and 11oz. she wiggles occasionally and Jace and I have been able to feel her kick! it is quite the experience very rewarding and neat. Next week on Thursday we get to go for a 3D ultrasound! it will be quite exciting to see our little girly again.

last night for our date night Jace took me out to wingers where we shared a half rack of ribs and half a chicken! no we didn't finish it all, there was also steak fries, coleslaw, baked beans, and I got a salad. we enjoyed our meal and then came home and made Oreo truffles for desert! they didn't turn out that pretty, something about melting chocolate chips doesn't work that well... next time we might have to try something different, but they turned out yummy that's for sure! just got to make sure we don't eat too many, even though they are yummy. to finish off the night we watched despicable me and I fell asleep within the first 1/2 hour... (making a baby is hard work!)

Yesterday I read an interesting blog post, someone had posted it on their facebook and the title intrigued me as I was thinking, 'I wonder what this is about?' so I began reading only to find out that it was a post about a man who celebrated his ten year anniversary with his wife and has three beautiful daughters and he has decided to come out and tell the world he is gay. it was definitely an interesting perspective and also somewhat educational. As this subject is becoming more and more prominent in the world we live in I wonder what will I ever do if  I have a child like that, or run into people with different beliefs, how will I address the subject or live with them without shunning or being rude. There is a part in His blog post where he talks about having to go to a psychologist to get medication for ADHD. where the therapist was lesbian and he told her he is gay and happily married where she in turn became concerned about his happiness wondering if he truly was happy and as he assured her he was their conversation came to a close with her saying, "...I think it’s sad that you have to settle for something that is counterfeit.” where he replied to her saying, “and I’m sorry that you have to settle for a counterfeit family.” it was an interesting aspect to think about and discuss with Jace. if you are interested in reading the post, here is the link,  and if you have a few minutes I would highly recommend it.

Anyways life is good and I love my husband and our little baby very much!

Testimony

My view on life....

I believe this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God. I know that we are here for a purpose. I know that we chose to come here. I know that life can seem over whelming sometimes and very hectic. I think that it is important for us to remember the real reason we are here. We need to focus on an eternal perspective. We must find joy in the journey by becoming unselfish. As we do this we will find great opportunities to serve others and to declare the gospel. In these two ways we can help build the kingdom of god. The point of life is not to get rich and famous. It is to raise a family in righteousness, live worthy of the temple blessings, share the gospel through missionary work and temple work, and find joy in service.

My goals are to accomplish these tasks by daily remembering my purpose on this earth and not taking for granted the blessings I have been given.

Specific goals:
          1. Read and pray daily
          2. Cherish my wife and family
          3. Attend my meetings and the temple
          4. Find ways to serve and share the gospel
          5. Build Christ like attributes.
